I saw GELATIN SILVER LOVE at Ginza Theatres Cinema.

I was looking forward to seeing it because of the director Kazumi Kurigami( originally he is a photographer ), the main actress Rie Miyazawa, the fashion stylist Tomoki Sukezane.

I thought he shot this beautiful film as if he took photographs.

I'm sure that he has an image of a woman who are eating an egg sexually before he makes its story definitely.

So the most important character of this film is not like a surprising story. It's more like a collection of a lot of beautiful scenes and details.

I really like his approach to shoot a film because I can feel sense of a photographer in it.

I also like the clothes Rie Miyazawa wears. Sukezane is really good fashion stylist and this is his first work in movie world.

Not only in movie world, I really hope this kind of aesthetic work (not a commercial work) became widespread and inspired us more.

銀座テアトルシネマでゼラチンシルバーラブを観てきました。

操上和美初の監督作品、衣装は祐真朋樹、主演は宮沢りえということでかなり美的感性を刺激する映画ではないかと前から注目していました。

操上さんが美しいと思うシーン、写真として撮りたいと思うシーンを連続させていったら一つの映画になった。そんな印象を受けました。

ストーリーより先に宮沢りえがゆで卵を食べるシーンが先にあったはず。絶対。

だからこの作品は全体の流れが先にあって、シーンのディテールを詰めていった映画ではなく、ディテールの集合で全体ができている映画だと思います。

写真家だからこそとれるアプローチでとても好きです。

宮沢りえが着ていた衣装もすごくよかった。さすが祐真さんです。ちなみに映画では初のスタイリングです。

商業的ではなく、こういった美しさを徹底的に追求した作品が映画に限らずもっと世の中に生まれればと心から思います。

As its title "UNKNOWN PLEASURES" suggests, Jim Lambie is an artist who deals with human perception.

Originally I like artists who deal with it like James Turrel or Anish Kapoor.

So I went to Hara museum of contemporary art being carried away by the fine weather.

The primary concern of this exhibition is changing perception of spaces by sticking abstract pattern on the whole floor and putting objects made of chairs and records that we see in the normal life.

But... well, frankly it didn't change my perception.

I could feel a little sense of discomfort, but for me it's more like decoration rather than perception.

It has a pop taste that UK adolescents seem to like. It might be used for commercial stuff.

When I saw works of James Turrel and Antony Gormley, I felt that works really changed my perception.

日本語訳すると”未知の快楽”というその名の通り、

人間の知覚に訴えかける系のアーティスト、ジムランビー。

タレルやカプーアのような知覚をテーマにした作家は大好きで、春らしい天気に誘われ原美術館へ行ってきた。

この展示は抽象的なパターンを空間に挿入し、日常的に我々が目にするもの（椅子とかレコードとか）で作ったオブジェを置くことで、人間の知覚にある種の違和感を起こすことを目的にしている。

が。。。率直な感想は、知覚にはあまり訴えかけてこなかった。

床が全て抽象模様になっていて、確かに少しの違和感はあるが、僕には知覚というより装飾に近く感じられた。

イギリスの若者が好きそうなポップテイスト。商業的に利用されそう。

ジェームズタレルやアントニーゴームリーの作品に触れたときはもっと知覚が揺さぶられた記憶があります。

These two movies were on the screen.

It is a big opportunity to see "DAVID LYNCH WORLD" that is conceptual and experimental.

I felt that he tried to experiment with perception of those who see the movie.(for instance "sunset")

At the same time he might give a message criticizing society. (for instance "industrial soudscape") 

I don't wanna explain what I felt in detail.

Feeling and thinking by yourself is essential to see his works.(Even if there is no answer)

You should go and see tomorrow because it's gonna be finished only for three weeks.

ということで見てきました。

「ザ・ベスト・オブ・デイヴィッド・リンチ・ドット・コム」

リンチ自身が立ち上げた会員制サイト“DAVIDLYNCH.COM”のみで発表された短編作品

「ダムランド」

“DAVIDLYNCH.COM”のために自ら画を描いて作った8本のアニメーション

この２つが上映されました。

コンセプチュアルで実験的なまさしく”デイヴィッド・リンチ・ワールド”を垣間みる絶好の機会です。

リンチは映像というメディアで人間の知覚の実験をしているように感じました。

単純に知覚の実験をしているような作品(sunset)から、社会に対するある種の批評性を感じられる作品(industrial soudscape)まで多岐に渡ります。

ここで説明してしまうと知覚の実験にならなくなってしまうので控えます。

自分で感じ、考えることに意義があると思います。(たとえ答えがそこにないとしても)

3週間限定なので明日にでも見に行きましょう。

"亀は意外と速く泳ぐ"

This week is “Yu Aoi week” so I watched “kamehaigaitohayakuoyogu”.

It means “surprising fact is that a turtle swims fast”.

I think there is a trend of Japanese movie that has a incoherent story and surrealistic or pop depiction. But that is just my feeling. I suppose that is infected by Kankuro Kudo who is Japanese movie director.

This kind of movie is on a border that has a possibility to degrade to B-movie or to upgrade to art movie. Then which way the movie goes relies on a character of an actor. In this sense, Yu Aoi has a strong reliability from Japanese movie director. She can give a special atmosphere to her movie. I feel so.

Recently in order to be recognized as a good actor or actress, They should have this kind of own atmosphere that boost up a movie to surrealistic, pop, art one.

蒼井優週間ということで今日は「亀は意外と速く泳ぐ」です。最近の日本映画はこの作品のような支離滅裂で崩壊したようなストーリー展開や、シュール又はポップで独特の間をもつという流れが一つあるような気がします。あくまで直感ですが。宮藤官九郎の影響なのでしょうか。それらを仮に崩壊系シュールポップエンターテイメント映画と勝手に名付けるとすると、こういった類いの映画は下手をするとB級映画になり、上手くいくとアートっぽい映画になるというぎりぎりのラインをついています。そしてその作品がどちらに転ぶかはやはり出演する俳優の色で決まっている。そういった意味で蒼井優は監督から非常に人気があるのではないでしょうか。彼女が出演するだけで映画全体がぴりっと引き締まるような、そんな感じがします。こういったボーダーライン上の作品をシュールでポップなアートっぽい作品へ押し上げる魅力があるかどうか、それこそ最近の俳優女優が人気を得るか否かの分かれ道な気がします。

I borrowed this movie just to see Yu Aoi (She is a Japanese actress.)

She stairs as a girl who changes the place to live and her work everytime she saves a million yen.

From an ocean front house to a farm house, also to a city.

In mysterious ways, she fits to the atmosphere of everywhere she goes. 

An attractive actress.

"Sekai no owari to yoakemae" means "the end of the world and before daylight."

I bought this comic because of the beautiful graphic of the cover.

There isn't an arranged big story.

I felt that this comic consists of highly personal experiments and as a result they form one story.

He uses photography in order to make background image and which makes "the world seen by one person"  very persuasive.

It is kind of hip in the sense that highly personal problems link to the world problem.

漫画というより小説のような美しいビジュアルに惹かれて買ってみました。

何かつくられた大きなストーリーがあるわけではなく、誰もが日常で感じるような非常に個人的な体験が積み重なって大きなストーリーとなっている、そんな感覚を得ました。

浅野いにおは背景に写真を用いているようで、その妙なリアルさがこの漫画の”個人が見た世界”に説得力を与えています。

個人の問題が世界の問題と直結していくような、

今っぽい一冊。

I'm sure this album must be avant-garde even one hundred years later.

A creation that breaks down tradition and defies stereotype seems to have a sense of eternal value.

時代は遡って1964年。

前衛ジャズの名盤、エリックドルフィーの「OUT TO LUNCH」

百年後に聴いてもカッコいいと唸るだろう一枚。

一曲目Hat and Beardの最初15秒聴いただけで分かると思います。

伝統や既成概念を乗り越えて時代をつくったクリエイションにはどんなに時が経っても失われることのない輝きが封じ込められています。

The first photo is "ANIMAL BEHAVIOR" directed by art director Nagi Noda.

This work is exhibited in colette in 2008.

Normally Advertisement seems to be antithetical to art but she made her own style that could integrate them together and made a lot of works.

I like her style because it doesn't comply with requirement of market at all and due to that her works strongly appeal to our heart.

And I know who has same kind of style. His name is Yasutaka Nakata.

He is musician, composer,DJ, and even art director.

"It is easy to make own style in invisible small community. And it is also easy to comply with requirements in the big economic market. I think there should be more and more those who can make own style in the big economic market."

That is what he said in an interview.

I totally agree on this point but it is too difficult to do that. In that way I can understand why he is called "God".

You should see his attitude and the way of thinking not only his sound.

That is ridiculously radical.

写真はアートディレクター野田凪ディレクション"ANIMAL BEHAVIOR"

2008年にパリのcoletteでも展示された作品です。

アートと対局にあると認識されている広告ですが、彼女はその両方の世界を一つに束ねてしまう強烈な世界観を作り上げ、様々な作品を残しました。

僕は野田凪の作品からマーケットに媚びない強さのようなものを感じていてすごく好きです。

そして媚びない強さといって思い出されるのはcapsuleの中田ヤスタカでしょう。

”誰も見ていない小さなコミュニティで自分の好きなことをするのは簡単です。そして大きな予算が動くプロジェクトで、マーケットを思いっきり意識したアイディアを出すのもそんなに難しいことではないでしょう。社会に影響を及ぼすような場面でマーケットに縛られないクリエイションを打ち出していく勇気を持った人がもっと世の中に出ていくべきだと思います。”

これは彼が語っていた内容です。ホントそうだと思う。でもこれはとんでもなく難しいこと。実践し、成功している彼が神といわれるのもあながち間違っていないでしょう。

彼のサウンドというより姿勢を見てほしい。

That was so comfortable for me.

(the title of this movie means "brass knuckles little boy".I'm not sure if its translation is collect or not.)

I saw this advertisement on the way from Shibuya station to Mizuho bank.

Because of economic crisis, how we can survive has been the only thing people talk about recently.

Every day we can hear bad and gloomy news about economy and politics....

I thought this movie seemed to break that kind of bad feeling and I ran in the theater.

Aoi Miyazaki and Koichi Sato who are big name in Japanese film scene were acting like so crazy in this movie.

The role they played were so energetic but we hardly see that kind of people in the real world.

Those who have strong characters don't exist so many but I consider them very attractive because they are rich in humanity.

If you have stress for society, office,whatever, you should see it.

"二時間パンク漬け”

これがほんと気持ちよかった。

渋谷駅からみずほ銀行へ行く途中に目に入ったこの看板。

最近暗いニュースばかりで、予定調和とか閉塞感をぶっ壊す快感を得られそうな気がしてそのまま映画館へ駆け込みました。

宮崎あおいや佐藤浩市というビッグネームがもう暴れるわけですよ。

あんな風にエネルギーを出しまくる人って社会の中ではマイノリティだと思うんだけど、その人独自の人間くささとかキャラクターが出ていてすごく魅力的だなと思いました。

最近うっぷんが溜まっている人、是非観に行きましょう。
